* Kingpin Info
From NoFaDz
No
console? Start the game up with "kingpin.exe +set developer 1" and the
console will magically work. No servers to play on? Fuck a gayspy.. Finding
servers for a game you just paid out the ass for is a right, not a privilege.
Go here: Gameaholic
Kingpin Server List
Fadz cares about YOU. ;) And in related news Devon sent in a Voodoo2/Voodoo3 autoexec.cfg for Kingpin to make it purty (high end systems please). I added it to my autoexec.cfg, which is here: autoexec.cfg
* Mod List
This
is a killer idea, a proggy that tracks mods for you so you know when new
versions come out. God that's so much better than browsing 1,000 sites
to see if new versions are out... or hitting Planet Chump... Dig the features:
*
Mod List is a program that keeps track of mods for several games, including
but not limited to: Quake2, HalfLife, Q3A, Kingpin, ... .
*
Mod List is a great way to search for a specific mod, look up a mod's site,
keep up with the latest mod news, ... .
*
You can automatically download new mod master lists, so you're always up-to-date
with the latest mod's.
*
Mod List can support new games on the fly without the need of downloading
a new version.
Go get it.. I am.: http://planetquake.com/borderfield/modlist/
* Ultima Online
GM Fired (Rine)
HAHAHHAHAHA
Rumors
claim that a GM was selling virtual gold coins and buildings for use in
Ultima Online on the eBay auction site for several hundred dollars.

* History Of Movie
Monster Games (Rine)
The folks at Videogames.com
have an interesting article about the history of monsters in video games.
The list includes:
The Alien Queen. The Predator. Godzilla. Gamera. Leatherface. Freddy. Jason. Jaws.

* Gamespot Reviews
23 Graphics Cards (Rine)
They
go by FPS and price, with the Voodoo3 in the top 5 with the lowest price
in the top 20. It ranked third in the review:
The Voodoo3/3000 is the price/performance leader for 3Dgames. It's very nearly as fast in 16-bit games as the Xentor or Hercules boards. Think of it as the Dodge Viper of graphics cards - stripped down to the bare essentials, what it does do, it does very well.

* #124 TIS BETTER
TO BE POOR AND CONTENT THAN TO BE RICH AND WORRIED
Although I am poor (click
my banners) I am far more content with myself than many of my esteemed
'sucessful' aquiantences. They're constantly stressing about this job,
that resume, balancing their checkbook. Whereas I just sit here sweating
and playing Kingpin and feel great.... Wonder if I can eat today?

* South Park And
Kingpin
Well
yesterday was a good day, I saw South Park, and bought Kingpin.
South Park is freaking hilarious (but short), it a full-on attack on censorship both in it's millions of swear words, but aslo directly talking about the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America). I loved it, especially the short cameo of Bill Gates... Muhahahhha. And, I GOT CARDED!!! Can you believe this? I'm 25 years old, and look at least over 17, as does Rine, but we got carded to see a cartoon..... What is this country coming to? Funny that in South Park the kids get carded at a movie too, and get in buy paying a bum to be their 'guardian'. So much for saving our children...
As for Kingpin, it rocks ass, period. Two things need fixed though, long load times and only having a console at very start (if using a batch file) like Half-Life, that sucks for graphic (etc) changes on the fly like gl_polyblend... the guy mwas like "you're 18 right???" And I'm like... "um... yeah"..... This is out of hand...

* Europe Unveils
Ambitious Comet Lander
Well
I saw one of those doomsday movies about blowing up an meteor bigger than
texas that would destroy the world, but this is too much.
About a month after rendezvous, Rosetta would drop a 100 kg (220-pound) lander on the comet. The lander would fire a harpoon into the comet to make sure the spacecraft doesn't bounce away on impact.

* Y2K liability
bill passes House, Senate
The
governmeny is really taking this Y2K seriously.. they must be running Winblows
98.
The bill would: cap punitive damages at $250,000 for small companies with 50 or fewer employees; protect large companies from liability if the real problem results from another company's actions; limit class action suits; and require plaintiffs to notify companies 30 days before they plan to sue and gives the defendant an additional 60 days to resolve the problem.
It does not apply to Y2K problems that occur after Jan. 1, 2003.

* #123 WORDS ARE
JUST WORDS, IT'S ALL IN HOW YOU TAKE IT
After playing Kingpin (which
had 1,000,000 warnings) and getting carded to see South Park I am left
wondering what the big deal is. When you make kids show id to see movies
and buy games with bad words, you just crystalize those words as being
negative, and that makes kids want to say them more. Who makes the decision
of what is obscene and not? I remember when shit, damn, ass, piss were
bad words, but now they are on TV with no warnings at all, so what makes
fuck special? FUCK FUCK FUCK. Will I go to hell for that? I don't think
so. Get a life america, they're just words for Christ's Sake. I could make
up a word tomorrow that means person who ass-fucks children for fun, but
if I said it you'd have no clue what I meant. So would that be a bad word?
Fuck no.
