Subject: Ween live in Bielefeld From: Daniel klein [ kleindl@uni-muenster.de ] My name is Christian Jehke, I live in Münster, Germany and study law here. Last weekend, I visited my grandparents in Bielefeld and took the opportunity to see Ween in concert. I´m no Ween specialist, i only own the Chocolate and cheese record. I merely went out of curiosity and because I heard they are a very good live act. I was lucky to get the setlist from a roadie after the concert, and here is what it said: Don´t shit where you eat Spinal Meningits The golden Eel The stallion pt. three Wavin´my dick in the wind Don´t get to close (2 my fantasy) Tick Mister would you please help my pony? The H.I.V. song Voodoo Lady Buckingham green baby bitch The Mollusk Take me away Doctor rock I can´t put my finger on it Freedom of ´76 Mister richard Smoker You fucked up A tear for Eddie Ocean man Push th´little daisies The blarney stone Pork roll egg and cheese Piss up a rope captain fantasy Sketches of winkle Buenas tardes amigo Ok, let´s laugh about this, and talk about what they actually played. They sticked to the setlist until Mister Richard smoker. afterwards, they did what the crowd was shouting for. They definitely didn´t play a tear for eddie. Instead, Dean did two songs on his own, one was i think called "Little Birdy". Then they did the Ocean man to blarney stone sequence. They omitted Pork roll etc. , piss up ana played on the audience´s demand What deaner was talking about. Before Buenas tardes, Dean played the first stanza of the beatles´Yesterday. Due to enthusiastic applause, they returned for a final encore after bueneas tardes. These were two funky songs. The crowd was shouting for el camino, but I think none of these songs was called like this. The second one went for 25 minutes and the lyrics included often the word Pussy. The went from 8.35 till 11.55, a good 3 hours and 20 minutes. The audience was hysterical for most of the night, but also so drunk that there could have been Take that on stage, they would have screamed anyway. I was a bit shocked about the large amounts of alcohol consumed on stage. Dean was so drunk near the end of the gig that he couldn´t barely walk. But, after all, a great concert that had one thing that lacks from the concerts of so many other acts: spontaneity. If you have any questions, you can mail me @ jehkecr@uni-muenster.de. I´ll see what I can remember. Adios Christian
