• Subject: ween live in Orlando From: sneetches "sneetches@worldnet.att.net" Hoorah for Ween! Once again, I was privy to catch a live show by the brothers of abuse, Ween. My first show was in Melbourne, Fl in 91. I was underage and kicked out of the show for drinking( I talked my way back in) and started conversation with Ween's grandparents. Lovely people who were very encouraging for the two members of the band who were on staged playing to a click track of drums. I saw them again in Chapel Hill, and was blown away by the addition of their producer Andrew Weiss on Bass ( my favorite) and a real drummer. I smoked hash with Gene during a long 24 minute solo session and I couldn't muster up the words to say that I had done this before with them in Melbourne and I had met their grandparents. This latest show was in Orlando, Fl and was the most complete of the lineups they have toured with. The addition of keyboards added to the meley. This was a full set composed of songs off of all of their albums as well as the odd cover. Michael McDonald and others were bastardized for the amusement of myself and others in the audience. With shows being nearly inaccessible due to violence and venue size, it was a warm welcome to see afavorite of mine playing to an audience of less than 1000.
