Man, what a kick "A" show. And Sound of Urchin (the opener) Rocked
the Hi-ouse as well. They might of played one or two other songs, but I
can't remember any other songs now. New Tour shirts also appeared. "Novus
Ordo Seclorum"
Can anyone hook me up with a copy of this show. It was my first ween
show and i need the memories forever. Intrade all I have of interest, is the
ability to get my hands on some great looking ween hats that a buddy of mine
makes at his hat making store. Its a blue hat (good strong material),white
letters "ween" on the front, and any lyric you want on the back. I have two.
One that says: "Taste the waste" and "fear the boognish". They cost 25 bucks
to make, but it'll be free for whoever can hook me up with a copy of that
show. God bless you mengs.

It's now 5 hours into the new year and I've finally made it back to my
warm, cozy room after the train ride and all that other horrible shit
I went through to see ween at the westbeth tonite. It was all worth it
though: they couldn't have put on a more unbelievable show. It was
over 3 hours of solid brown material: poopship destroyer, awesome
sound, booze me up, tender situation, pandy fackler, now i'm freaking
out, mr richard smoker, fat lenny (megaphone-enhanced), LMLYP (which I
think was over ½ hour long) to name a few.
If you weren't there, well, you shoulda been.
If I'm remembering correctly, they rung (rang?) in the the new
year with golden eel which they extended for a few minutes in order to
seam into the countdown. Then gener became prince and they played
"1999" which "they had to do" sayz gene.
The boys were totally ripe tonight too, despite the fact that
this was the first ween show since august.
Overall though, I think the greatest thing about tonight's
show was that all the phishheads were busy being fags at MSG. The
westbeth hadn't barely any smell of patchouli whatsoever. Penn station
was a different case, however, with circles of dreadlocked, dress- or
wool sweater-wearing hippies littering the floor. While i'm venting: I
paid $3 for a 10 oz V8 at the station.
The opening band, Sound of Urchin, definetely deserves mention
and praise as well. I've never seen a ween-opener get the crowd going
as much as they have: even more so than Chocolate Dream (was that
their name) who opened last year at tramps. I'm guessing it's because
they're also New Hopers and so they know what's going on. They threw
noisemakers, CDs and even silly string (which dean ended up wearing)
to the crowd.
My headache and the ringing is subsiding at last, so I'm gonna
curl up in bed.
Happy new year pookies
PS. they also played some really cool instrumental tonight which I
think was hitherto unknown to ween fans.
